Turmoil-What Government Does Best

For anyone who remembers when the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio burned, there was a lesson which was never learned by legislators, mayors, governors, and people in general.  The spin was so massive that the real culprit was never publicly identified-simply that politicians do not know or care about the results of their legislative yearnings.

The ultimate burning pollution in the Cuyahoga River was caused by Judicial power given the city to control the Cuyahoga River.  The city sold pollution permits to companies who wanted to dump in the River.  There was no thought given to the consequences of such stupidity.  Hence, the burning of the Cuyahoga River.

Similarly, the Federal Government was more interested in collecting royalties and leases than in the safety of the Gulf Coast of the United States.

Will it be helpful to email the various State/Federal Senators who have voiced their frustration with the Administration doing not much regarding the Oil Spill, to inform them that there are other private companies that can help to figure out how to stop the oil spill and to let them know the names of these companies?
