Hi folks!
Please take a moment to read the following article from the Wood's Hole Oceanographic Institute. It shows the limitless bounds that our federal government will go to feed bad information to the people. The University of Ga and others had proposed and identified plumes of oil below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico. This I believe through my years of engineering work in material transport and movement. The Feds used NOAA to restrict the flow of information. Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, told a White House briefing on Aug. 4 that "at least 50 percent of the oil that was released is now completely gone from the system. And most of the remainder is degrading rapidly or is being removed from the beaches."
In one report, researchers at the University of Georgia estimated that about three-quarters of the oil was still lurking below the surface of the Gulf. In the other, University of South Florida scientists said they found oily clouds of water inside an underwater canyon. The oil was at levels toxic to critical marine organisms.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/38770508/ns/disaster_in_the_gulfbout the plumes.
On Tuesday, however, two new scientific reports raised fresh fears about the environmental fallout from the world's worst offshore oil spill and questioned government assurances that most of the oil was already gone.

Without extensive testing, the Fed has no idea what is going on or what the Gulf conditions will be in the near future. The Fed has no clue because the Fed relies on the opinions of theoretical bureaucratic, government paid engineers, not practical engineers who identify the methods to produce the results needed to identify the causes and conditions that need to be addressed in order to improve the Gulf condition.

The End of the Gulf as a Food Source
As the oil spill spreads across the Florida panhandle, it is also flowing south toward the Florida Keys. Why does the oil continue to flow? No particular technical reason. After all, if we can place a cap over the oil flow and keep in in place with vents, we can also attach the cap to the pipe and close the vents. All that is needed is to provide attachment of the cap to the pipe with sufficient strength to resist the flow pressure. Not a large step from placing a cap over the flow to closing off the flow.
Now we are told that the oil spill has reached the Galveston, Texas area. Wow! The spill continues as talks starts on the possibility of oil reaching the east coast of Florida.
I find the administrations lack of control or of any attempt to control the oil spill situation a vicious attack on the future economy of the Gulf region of the United States. The damage that will follow, whatever the duration of the oil spill, will leave the Gulf region decimated for decades. Just as Detroit does not have many auto jobs, the Gulf region will lose its seafood and its industry based on seafood. The product will be tainted for years to come.
Unfortunately, Obama does not seem to care, one way or the other.

Why is the Gulf Spill Not Stopped?
We cannot afford the lack of critical action by our government to protect our Gulf environment from destruction.
After 72 days of spilling oil, the administration has not proposed any methods to solve the problem. It seem that the administration has forgotten about the Gulf region. More important things have come up.
Since BP can now collect oil for sale from the well, and the government can receive its royalties and leases from the well, why would either want to shut off the flow of oil?
If the administration had any concern for the people in the Gulf region, the well would already be plugged and the environmental cleanup under way. See our previous blog at http://pc-political-calculations.blogspot.com/2010/05/oil.html
It appears the political uses of the oil spill are so profound that the administration may reuse this crisis right on up to November2010 and maybe until November 2012.
I am sorry, but the Arizona immigration law is insignificant in comparison to the Gulf oil spill and the administration should not be waisting time and money suing Arizona when the destruction of our Gulf coast currently in progress.
And, today, the CBO says that the heath care bill will cost much, much more than they originally estimated. Did the CBO or some clown from the white house do the original estimate?
Do not worry, the politicians from Chicago can fix anything.

Obama Does Not Know (or Care?) How To Save The Gulf
The President should be kicking his own butt. He has neglected the people of the U.S.Gulf coast and has failed to solve a problem oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.
What Obama has done is surround himself with his academic cronies who have never had to actually make something happen in a specified time frame.
Senator John Kerry has been talking to BP about his cap and trade bill during the spill. Rahm Emanuel has a lengthy history of befriending folks at BP. I do not see their actions as particularly helpful to fixing the Gulf leak.
The first line of action should have been to assemble individuals and representatives of companies providing services in the Gulf similar to those provided by BP, Transocean, and Halliberton. Contrary to what the President and bloggers believe, BP is NOT the only company with the experience to do deep water exploration and drilling.
The second action would be to have this group of experienced representatives and individuals hash out the various methods of controlling and stopping the oil spill.
The third would be to examine the feasibility of all possible methods and selecting those methods agreed to be the best attempts to solve the problem.
Within days there should have been an attempt to start stopping the flow.
At the same time, methods for managing the surface flow and pollution would be considered and put into operation as needed.
Research into the effects of the dispersant should have begun immediately.
Companies providing services similar to BP, Transocean, and Halliburton can be found at:

Obama has not enlisted the assistance of properly skilled people and companies to address the Gulf Spill catastrophe.

Turmoil-What Government Does Best
For anyone who remembers when the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio burned, there was a lesson which was never learned by legislators, mayors, governors, and people in general. The spin was so massive that the real culprit was never publicly identified-simply that politicians do not know or care about the results of their legislative yearnings.
The ultimate burning pollution in the Cuyahoga River was caused by Judicial power given the city to control the Cuyahoga River. The city sold pollution permits to companies who wanted to dump in the River. There was no thought given to the consequences of such stupidity. Hence, the burning of the Cuyahoga River.
Similarly, the Federal Government was more interested in collecting royalties and leases than in the safety of the Gulf Coast of the United States.

The Worst Is Yet To Come
Unfortunately, the oil leak has been gushing for about 41 days (Apr 20). Oil was first noticed on beaches on or about day 10 (Apr 30). After an additional 31days of oil flow, the amount of oil making its way to shore does not seem to be equivalent in magnitude to the amount of oil discharged from the well.
Today we are told that plumes of oil are floating below the surface in large quantities and that the attempt to cap the well has ended. The well continues to spill oil into the Gulf.
It would appear that large quantities of oil have yet to impact the Gulf shore or other areas as the currents decide where to carry the oil.
These submerged plumes may be due to the use of detergents at the well head.
We are also told that BP is not permitting photographs in the area.
The following information comes from The Center for Biological Diversity:
http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news/press_releases/2010/post-disaster-permits-05-07-2010.html
Review the exempted oil wells at:
http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/programs/public_lands/energy/dirty_energy_development/oil_and_gas/gulf_oil_spill/pdfs/MMS_Approved_Drilling_2010-05-07_v2.pdf
The Department of the Interior, MMS, and our legislators have failed us in a manner that will cause chaos in the Gulf region for many, many years to come. Documentary photographs are not allowed.
It is really scary to think that our Government believes they can create trust and confidence in their handling of a very serious attack on the Gulf while they delay actions until studies are completed, they prohibit photographs in the area, and they lack the necessary hardware to fight the oil coming ashore.
The showing of the Federal Government in this case has left much to be desired. How can the Federal Government handle anything like health care, climate control, cap and trade, or other issues. The new laws simply drain our economy of its life in order to redistribute the wealth to a few selected individual and associations.
If our Government cannot protect us from abuses by BP (maybe that's not the plan) then how can we allow the government to continue to pass laws taking our wealth and giving it to others, in and out of the United States? I do not really want to bail out the spendthrift Greeks. But we have not choice-the global governance now has our money to give away as they see fit.

The MMS . . . exempted BP’s offshore drilling plan from environmental review by using a loophole in the National Environmental Policy Act meant only to apply to projects with no, or minimal, negative effects such as construction of outhouse and hiking trails. . . . MMS exempts hundreds of dangerous offshore oil drilling projects in the Gulf of Mexico every year.
Even as the BP drilling explosion . . . continues to gush hundreds of thousands of gallons of oil per day into the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Department of Interior’s Minerals Management Service (MMS) has continued to exempt dangerous new drilling operations from environmental review. Twenty-seven new offshore drilling projects have been approved since April 20, 2010; twenty-six under the same environmental review exemption used to approve the disastrous BP drilling that is fouling the Gulf and its wildlife.
“For Secretary Salazar to allow MMS to exempt 26 new oil wells from environmental review in the midst of the ongoing Gulf crisis shows an extraordinary lapse of judgment. It is inconceivable that his attention is apparently on providing BP with new environmentally exempted offshore oil wells instead of shutting down the corrupt process which put billion of dollars into BP’s pocket and millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.”

Ridiculous Spectacle
Obama thinks the testimony of the oil executives before Congress was a "ridiculous spectacle."
An even more ridiculous spectacle is the Government's response to the oil leak. We are now on the brink of probably the most destructive oil spill ever seen on the North American Continent. In the end, it appears that the fate of the states along the Gulf will be dire and will require generations to pass before any beginning of wetland recovery occurs.
The Congress, BP, and the President are pointing fingers but I think they have now run out of fingers.
The money exchange between Congress and the oil companies has been going on for sixty years. This will be the generation of politicians who will be held accountable for the tenacious back room actions of all previous generations of politicians. Too bad for the politicians, but it's about time that Middle America held the politicians accountable for any destruction of the United States.
One thing for sure is that the President does not know what he is talking about. There are dozens of firms that do the work that is also done by Halliburton, BP, and Transocean. (See http://www.subsea.org/equipment/drilling+and+well+services/listcat2.asp?cate=drilling).
If the President was concerned about the actions of BP, he should have enlisted the services of many other in the industry to find a collective solution to a problem that is likely to occur at some other time in the future.
Above all, the President does not seem to have a program to deal with the next 30 days of oil washing up on the Gulf beaches and wetlands.

Bail-out Teachers and Unions?
Bail-outs for union pensions? Bail-outs for teachers? Why?
Instead of wasting this money for political pay backs why not use it to help the businesses on the Gulf that are nearly dead due to lack of protection by the Federal Government. Have BP bail-out the unions and teachers.
Why should unions and teachers be treated differently than the rest of the work force? Bail-outs are too politically motivated and do not help those who really need help.
The union leaders who spent all the money on political support should use their own money to replace the funds missing from pension funds.
The teachers should join the rest of the U.S. and take their lumps. Lay them Off!

Oil
I believe that the incompetence of the Federal Government to meet our needs for protection from oil spills will ultimately be the end of the gulf shores. The wetlands of Louisiana are likely to be destroyed beyond repair in our lifetime.
The Federal Government should have taken control through emergency measures within days of the explosion and fire on the rig. The US should have opened the field to quick turn-around of methods to stop the oil leakage into the Gulf. There are numerous US firms capable of designing emergency actions, machinery, and equipment needed to stop the spill. There are other firms capable of drilling at 5000 feet below sea level. I have not seen any indication that the President has looked to the US work force or other drill companies for assistance.
You must use the people who have expertise to find a solution.
Scientists, EPA, MMS-the usual suspects-are not capable of addressing the issues in the Gulf. They can tell you the situation is bad, but, by its own admission, the Government has no expertise in the area of oil spills in 5000 feet of water and cannot do anything to control the spill.
Why would the citizen's of the US expect a solution from D.C.? We have not seen any solutions from D.C. in years. Our Government has said they do not know what to do. Excuse me, but Americans have always found solutions to the most demanding of problems. What has been lost is the fact that the American expertise comes from its citizens, not from the government. The Government is not qualified to do much of anything.
Louisiana should take control of all seas within the statutory 3 miles of its coast. The Government can not take weeks to review plans like building sand bars to protect the wetlands from ongoing disaster.
The Federal Government has no control over the situation. Louisiana must protect its own shores. The Federal Government can not protect the Louisiana shore.
What the Federal Government has shown us is that beyond spending money, they have no idea what to do.
Just wait until cap and trade funnels money out of your pockets and into the pockets of politicians and their friends.

Anarchy
It was apparent that the Democrats do not intend to honor their pledge to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Today, we have ICE saying they will not process illegal immigrants from Arizona. One can not be more seditious then rejecting the Constitution for political gain.
The President ignores the Constitution, his appointees ignore the Constitution. And the house Democrats showed their stand up and cheer allegiance to Calderone while stomping on our Constitution.
The Progressives are almost ready to burn the U.S. Constitution. This should be identified as what it is: insurrection against lawful authority or SEDITION.

Dennis Blair-One man in D.C. with integrity
Congratulations to Dennis Blair, Obama's National Intelligence Director, for being the only person in D.C. with integrity.
Our safety and protection from terrorists, under the Obama administration, has failed repeatedly. Obama is so busy bad mouthing the United States that he has no time to fulfill his constitutional duties as president of the United States.
Our Government agencies have failed to protect us. The failure of the terrorists' bombs does not indicate success of any government agency, it only indicates that the enemy can get bombs where they want without detection but they have not yet figured out some of the technical issues to get their bombs to explode.
It is only a matter of time before a bunch of Americans lose their lives again because of Obama's failure to defend the U.S Constitution.

Anarchists All, But One
The following Mayors and/or city councils have made a decision for all the residents of these cities-To violate our Constitution in order to promote their personal political views as a progressive who speaks for all the people he/she governs. Progressives who will make false and misleading statements in the name of advancing their group desires above and in place of the desires of their constituents is true anarchy.

Arizona v. Los Angeles-Rebellion in the Making
Los Angeles (LA), San Francisco (SF) and other locations feel the need to boycott Arizona because they do not like Arizona's new illegal alien law. The Federal government has mistakenly (or not) assumed the role of agitator rather than exercise its constitutionsl role to insure domestic tranquility.
Arizona has indicated that if LA boycotts Arizona, LA may lose some of the electric power it currently gets from Arizona.
Where is the Federal Government, led by President Obama? The Preamble to the Constitution tells us that the founders expected the Government to maintain domestic tranquility between the states. (See our blog at http://haveyoureadourconstititution.blogspot.com/).
The Obama administration is not providing a solution, isabsent, and is failing on its constitutional duties. All the Obama administration can say is we have not read the bill BUT the bill is racist and illegal.
In general, the media has no clue. They are wagging their tails hoping to get a hand out from the next White House dinner (May 19 with the President of Mexico). The media lacks any semblance of an investigative group meant to provide a true account of the activities going on in D.C.
The lack of trust that Middle America has for the government and the media is largely due to the blatant lies and lack of truthful presentation of information. Middle America does know the difference between truth and lies and no longer wants to listen to the political double-talk that is spoken in D.C. and also spewed out by the general media.
Now that Middle America is watching, the politicians may find it difficult to continue on in their heretofore usual manner.
Middle America will now begin to hold the cheats and liars to the best standard. That best standard is called the Constitution of the United States.
My fear is that Obama and Progressives in Congress want rebellion over the Arizona law. This is exactly what the framers of the Constitution were afraid of. The rebellion has already been started by Progressives in L.A. and D.C. Obama has done nothing to quell the tensions.
Obama (and the media) will blame the Tea-party and Middle America for any increase in tensions amongst the states.
Also note, that Middle America understands that the Supreme Court has had its hand in creating the dramatic escalation and expansion of the Government intrusion into our private lives, liberties, and happiness.

- WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Transocean Ltd, one of the companies under fire over the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, has hired a new lobby firm to represent its interests in Congress, according to public records.

Bail Out of These United States?
It scares me to think that my state may have to bail out other states. THERE MUST BE SOME RULES AND REGULATIONS APPLIED TO THOSE STATES REQUESTING FEDERAL ASSISTANCE.
THESE STATES CANNOT BE PERMITTED TO CONTINUE THEIR RECKLESS SPENDING HABITS WHILE BEING FINANCED BY THE REST OF THE COUNTRY.
IT WOULD SEEM TO BE A MUCH EASIER AND LESS COSTLY SOLUTION TO LET THESE STATES FAIL AND REFORM UNDER A BALANCED BUDGET SYSTEM OF SPENDING.
My state does not furnish free or low cost college.
My state does not cause businesses to move out of the state by increasing businesses taxes.
My state does not cause individuals to move out of state to avoid higher taxes.
The trouble in my state is mainly due to lack of jobs. Federal money is being used to retain government jobs but the private sector is still excluded from the bailouts.
SHARING THE WEALTH DOES NOT MEAN I EMPTY MY POCKETS TO THE DETRIMENT OF MY HOME STATE SO SOME FROG LOVER CAN CONTINUE BUILDING TUNNELS UNDER ROADWAYS.

Politicians Lie?
Definition: Middle America-folks who do not blindly vote by party.
There is no anti-incumbent backlash this election season. Middle America is just not going to put up with the usual D.C. lies and deceit from Democrats and Republicans alike. No more shoo-in career politicians.
Since Congress cannot be trusted to be honest with us, we will take a more active role and keep an eye on its speeches, actions, and votes.
I think it is significant that our politicians and the media in general are not aware that Middle America understands that 2+2=4 and that it is possible to compare political statements made today with statements of yesterday, last week, or last year in just a few minutes on the internet.
Middle America does understand the waste of resources when members of Congress stand in front of the cameras for interviews instead of sitting behind their desks working for their constituents.
Middle America does understand that if you tax us for ten years and only give us benefits for six years that there is some sleight of hand going on. Since it no longer takes weeks to get information in the print media, Middle America can quickly get the information and verify sources. Maybe this is the real reason the Feds want to control the internet.
With the amount of hype and broken promises in the last two years, politicians will find out that they are now going to be held accountable for their sleight of hand (mouth) tricks previously used to keep constituents in the dark.
Middle America will now take a stand and our politicians will find out that Middle America really understands what is going on.
It may be true that Middle America has not kept up to date on the events in D.C. but, with the evolution of the "transformation" of America, Middle America understands that no one in D.C. can be trusted.
Today we find out that the health care bill cost was grossly underestimated.

WP: BP Gulf Drilling Got "Rubber Stamp"
U.S. Government Exempted Oil Company from Environmental Impact Study before Disastrous Leak
- (Washingtonpost.com) The Interior Department exempted BP's calamitous Gulf of Mexico drilling operation from a detailed environmental impact analysis last year, according to government documents, after three reviews of the area concluded that a massive oil spill was unlikely.
- The decision by the department's Minerals Management Service (MMS) to give BP's lease at Deepwater Horizon a "categorical exclusion" from the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) on April 6, 2009 -- and BP's lobbying efforts just 11 days before the explosion to expand those exemptions -- show that neither federal regulators nor the company anticipated an accident of the scale of the one unfolding in the gulf.
We must research what the politicians feed us as truth. They feel they have no obligation to be honest with their constituents.

From the magazine issue dated May 17, 2010:
- At times BP has enlisted powerful Washington types like Leon Panetta (now CIA director), George Mitchell (now Obama's Middle East envoy), Christine Todd Whitman (the former EPA administrator), and Tom Daschle (the former majority leader) to serve on its various boards of advisers and "independent" panels. In his rounds on Capitol Hill last week, Hayward was escorted by a former aide to Ted Kennedy who now works for the Brunswick Group, a powerhouse public-relations firm recently hired by BP to help it deal with the oil-spill crisis.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OF THESE PEOPLE, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MS. WHITMAN, ARE DEMOCRATS.
Do not believe the hype that tells us that the republicans are the ones in bed with the oil companies. Do your own research and make informed decisions. Neither party has any claim to the truth.
Wow, Gaming the Health Care Law?
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W. Va.) is scolding the nations’ health insurance companies for “gaming” the new health care law and is pushing the administration and states to impose stringent controls under the law on industry expenditures for non-medical purposes.

More Congressional Hearings
We do not need congress to spend more money trying to find someone to blame for the oil spill in the Gulf. We already know that they will blame BP. However, what we will not be told is who in the federal government approved the required spill protection plan required to be subimtted by BP and approved by the EPA and the Department of the Interior before drilling began.
The government has the responsibilty to make safe the offshore areas beyond the states jurisdiction (usually three miles from shore).
The other information we will not be given is why our legislators have not updated safety methods in the last 50 years. The legislators have made sure that the department of the Interior collects royalties and leases but have made no effort to insure the states are protected from the feds tomfoolery.

Government Agency Failure
Have you ever noticed that government regulated industries always come up short on worker protections when the industry is controlled by government oversight? I worked many years in construction related jobs and have always been amazed that the government regulators seem to be behind the times and short on intellegence. From the Sago mine disaster-government required addition of safety booths. The latest mine deaths were not avoided by safety booths, though the government required them. The miners could not reach the booths.

Off Shore Drilling
Please choose your candidate wisely! The oil spill in the Gulf is not a Dem or GOP issue!!! All of our legislators are to blame. Did you know that the states used to have control of their ocean boundaries? The courts decided that the Feds should control the coast leaving the first 3 miles or so off shore to the control of the states. The only problem is that the Fed does not know what it is doing let alone assume responsibility for the environment. The offshore drilling companies furnish about 70 different forms for the Feds approval through various departments and EPA. The Feds state of the art spill containment and fighting methods have never been updated from the 1960's. The only legislative concern is that this spill will mess up the Feds money supply from drilling leases and royalties. The Fed has no concern about the effects on the Gulf states. This is obvious as the Fed has no method to control spills. Like everything else the Fed does, it can be fixed after we have a problem.

Congress in Action-Shame on Wall Street and Shame on Congress
If only we could get the Senate to answer our questions like they want the bank executives to answer their questions.
I WANT TO KNOW WHICH ELECTED LEGISLATORS HAVE ECONOMIC OR POLITICAL TIES TO ANY OF THE WALL STREET "TO BIG TO FAIL" COMPANIES.
Apparently, the Senators believe that the stupid constituents can be baffled by their bull. These guys and girls in D.C. have no desire to listen to us, their consituents, their desires require them to plow full speed ahead on their course to bankrupt and socialize the U.S.
It appears that these Senators expect us to believe the dribble that passes over their lips, unaware that their constituents are problably more intellegent and harder working than any them, should be believed in spite of previous statements or positions held by these Senators.
DO AS I SAY
YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU NEED
WE WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED
YOU LIVE IN MIDDLE AMERICA AND ARE:
A BAD EVIL PART OF AMERICA THAT LIBERALS WANT TO DISSAPEAR
A RACIST
A NAZI
A BILBE THUMPER
A CRAZED GUN OWNER

EVIL
EVIL CHRISTIANS
BAD CHRISTIANS
UNDESERVING OF PROTECTIONS AFFORDED BY CONSTITUTION
What our legislators do not understand is that we the people do understand that our legislators have overstepped their legislative mandate for years and years; what our government does not understand is that we the people do understand that secession is a right afforded when we the people gave government the right to exist. What the supreme court does not understand is that we the people do understand that the court's overreaching decisions have a large responsiblility for the state of the nation's current problems.

DO NOT BE FOOLED
The dems want you to believe that they are going to punish wall street!!!!!BUT, YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT MOST WALL STREET POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS HAVE GONE TO DEMS. Do you believe a politician will cut off a source of funds?????????
Financial Reform?
Obama now has a new joke to perpetrate upon the people of the United States-Financial Reform of Wall Street.
The only thing missing from this new and exciting proposal is that this reform does not include any controls on the original problem causing the melt-down.
No controls for the SEC to perform its intended functions. The SEC is either unable or unwilling to perform its functions.
No controls on policticians who have used arm bending methods for loan qualification modification, granting loans to people with no means to repay the loans.
No controls on Fanny and Freddie the major culprits in the rape of the U.S. home mortgage market.
The most dangerous proposal allows the continuation of selected government business buyouts (bailouts) not based on anything other than the opinions of a couple of people coupled with a new bank roll financed by the citizens of the United States.

DEM OR GOP
I am finding that I have very little in common with legislators in either party. I have started reading the constitution and other articles which shed some light on the thoughts, theory, and community interests of our early founders.
Unfortunately, our elected legislators no longer believe that they owe allegiance to us the common folk: the bilble hugging, gun owning center of america.
If you take away the east coast and the west coast of america, there are very few Dems left. The GOP still does not understand that they are not liked all that well either.
The two major parties need to realize that the folks that are left, once removing their blind followers of the parties, are the core, hard working, center of America. American freedom, American values, American reward for hard work, American generosity to those in need.

JOBS?
Where are the jobs?
Our representatives do not know!
Our senators do not know!
Our president does not know!
Very few, if any, of these folks have ever run a business or even have a clue what businesses need to do to satisfy the government rules and regulations. These are not the people that should be making determinations of what employers should provide to employees, as employment is a contract between the employee and employer-not the government. If the government feels it must involve itself in the process, then the government should specifiy what employers should furnish and leave the employers to meet that goal. The government does not need to become the mega-health care provider in the U.S. in order to get health care for all.

New Information on the cost of the Healthcare Bill
Wow! Companies are beginning to show us what is lacking in the healthcare bill. Note that the current retiree prescription benefit will be dumped by employers because the new HC bill removes the tax-break incentive for the companies to provide low cost benefits for their retirees. Retirees forced onto the government program will pay more for less service. Medicare part D prescription coverage costs about $80 per month. If you are retired, you might want to contact your employer retirement services if you have a prescription benefit.

Why are we uninformed?
Why are we ignored by our legislators?
Probably due to the fact that we are now looking for handouts like never before, and we have not participated, as we should have, in the election/legislative process.

Pre-existing Conditions-Who's the Biggest Fool?
I need to pay four years of taxes for healthcare that I do not recieve until 2014?
I also have to pay for the insurance I currently have? BUT, I can be denied coverage that is pre-existing (until 2014) if I loose my current insurace coverage and can not afford COBRA?
I need a new congressional representative and new senate representatives!
Senator Geoge Voinovich is retiring from his career of polictical inutility. Senator Sherod Brown needs to perform as a senator should and not as a political ogre without concern for the working people of Ohio. Party affiliation is no longer an indication of anything.
WE THE PEOPLE MUST LOOK AT OUR CANDIDATES IN A NEW LIGHT! WE MUST NOT EXPECT ANY TRUTH TO APPEAR IN THE PAGES OF OUR NEWSPAPERS AND WEEKLY TABLOIDS. WE MUST FIND THE TRUTH FOR OURSELVES! WITH THE INTERNET IN PLACE, WE DO NOT NEED THE MEDIA JOURNALISTS TO PRESENT US WITH ANYTHING LESS THAN THE FACTS AND THE TRUTH. WE CAN USE THE INTERNET AND OTHERSOURCES TO HELP US FIND THE FACTS AND THE TRUTH AND WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER DO SO.
OUR OWN RESEARCH WILL SET US FREE! WE HAVE THE MEANS, THAT IS THE VOTE, TO PENALIZE OUR CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS WHO FEEL THAT A POLITICAL LIE IS OKAY WHEN IT EXPEDITES THE PASSAGE OF LEGISLATION THAT THE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT. THE CONGRESSIONAL MEMBERS NEED TO HAVE THEIR FEET HELD TO THE FIRE AND SENT HOME IN SHAME.
Regardless of what anyone tells you, RIGHTS ARE NOT BESTOWED BY CONGRESS, AND FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. Our founding fathers were correct!
Political lies and lack of facts should not be the usual course of business dealings in D.C.
Reviewing the current replys or lack thereof in recent months from my congressional representatives, I am convinced that the Dems do not care what I think, and the Repubs are rather indifferent to their constituents.
I FEEL EXTREMELY FORTUNATE FOR THE LIFE I HAVE HAD, BUT THE CURRENT INDICATIONS OF THE LIFE THAT IS COMING CAUSES ME GREAT FEAR FOR WHAT MY GRAND CHILDREN WILL INHERIT.
